Setting Goals For 2024
It’s hard to believe in less than 3 weeks we’ll be in a new year. Time to start planning for 2024.
It’s that time of year. Time to think about my goals for 2024.
I always go into a new year with a positive outlook even though I know the chances of me achieving ALL my goals is slim. But if I don’t have a game plan, then I’m flying blind and I get even less done.
The first thing on my agenda for 2024 is getting Falling for the Boss’s Son published. I was hoping to have the first draft finished by the end of the year, but I don’t see that happening. The new goal is to finish by January and get it off to my editor by the end of February. If that happens, then I’m hoping to publish sometime in April.
I’ve already started working with a cover designer on the cover (cross your fingers I’ll be able to share it soon). Once I have that, I’ll put the story up for pre-order on Apple, Nook, and Kobo.
If you’re a paid subscriber to my Substack, you can read the first draft of the first 7 chapters of Jesse and Cassie’s story.
If not, you can still read the first chapter FREE by going back through some of my older posts.
Beyond Falling for the Boss’s Son, my writing plans will focus on writing Heart, book six in my Finding Anna series. If you’re a fan of Stephan and Brianna, then you won’t want to miss this one.
It will be the final story in the series, however, I have plans to write a spin off…or two…so it won’t be the last time you’ll see Stephan and Brianna.
I’d like to publish Heart next year as well, but that will all depend on how much writing time I can get in during the year. My lack of consistent writing time is one of the reasons I decided to start a subscription in the first place.
Not only does it give you early access to the chapters I’m writing as I’m writing them, but it also gives you a glimpse at my writing process. You get to see all the raw story structure before any editor gets hold of it….typos and all.
Outside of writing, I have some other author related content I’m working on. I can’t share too much yet until I know for sure it’s going to go the way I want it to, but I’ll be sharing the news with you here as soon as I can.
I’m still in the research phase, but I’m excited about the potential. It seems every time I turn around, there’s something new in the book world and each author has to decide for themselves what works for them, their writing, and their readers.
